Hair and Beauty

Transform your passion for hairdressing and barbering into a fulfilling career.

Learn the practical skills and knowledge needed for this dynamic and creative industry in our on-site commercial salon.

The Salon

All learning and training takes place in our industry-standard salon, where you can work with professional equipment on real-life clients and develop skills in salon management.

This will give you the experience you need to make it in the industry, and put you above the competition.

Our salon is open for appointments throughout the academic year and uses vegan and natural products.

Practical Experiences

In addition to working in our professional on-site salon, you will get lots of practical experiences outside the course, such as working on community activities and showcasing your skills at events.

Previous students have taken part in catwalk events and End of Year Fashion shows, in locations such as Dover Castle.

Skills Competitions

Throughout your course, you will get the chance to take part in competitions, such as KFE4Skills.

This contest sees East Kent Colleges Group students compete against the rest of Kent to see who comes out top in a range of skills areas.
