Our Facilities
3D Modelling Workshops
Students can make the most out of our 3D printers in our 3D Modelling workshop, which can aid in a wide range of projects both inside and outside College.
Students recently created, tested and refined prototypes using these 3D printers, aiding Discovery Park in the replacement of an obsolete part.
Discovery Park were so happy with what our students had produced, that 1100 parts in total were ordered from us.
Automotive Workshop
Automotive students learn in our newly renovated workshop. With brand new training equipment, and cutting edge technologies this facility allows students to develop future oriented skills that businesses across East Kent are looking for.
This new workshop means student can learn to work with electric vehicle equipment, and offers MOT inspection courses to members of the public.
The Student Zone
The Student Zone is an open learning space for students to use for independent study, with PCs and laptops, scanning, printing and internet facilities all available.
This space is located in the Welcome Building on the ground floor.
CNC Workshop
Our CNC Workshop contains technology which our Engineering students will make the most of during their time here.
Thanks to the Government’s SDF fund, we have invested in machines including an XYZ CT52LR turning centre and an XYZ 500LR machining centre.
These machines let students work on complex test pieces developed on AutoCAD, as well as real-life projects working with other departments and local businesses.
The Salon
The Salon is the high-street-quality commercial salon at EKC Dover College, offering a range of hair treatments under the supervision of industry experts.
The Salon is the perfect place to unwind and get that little bit of time just for yourself – without breaking the bank.
Student Centre
Our Student Centre is the perfect place for Student’s to unwind during their lunchtime, with games consoles, pool table and more.
This is also where our Students’ Union is based, along with our Student Experience Officer. They work together to organise student trips, activities and events around campus.
Refectory
The Refectory caters for breakfast and main meals plus a wide range of hot snacks, fresh baguettes and sandwiches.
Wellbeing Room
Our Wellbeing Room is available to any student who requires a quiet space, or wishes to speak with a cousellor or progression mentor.
