On the Art and Design courses, you’ll work with local and national companies on exciting briefs and competitions.
This year, students took part in a branding challenge, organised by Solley’s Ice Cream.
For this, they had to create a concept and design a new mouth-watering flavour, alongside promotional material.

Art students were tasked with creating two limited-edition designs for Kent Crisps as their client. Their brief was to keep the packets on brand whilst incorporating their own artwork.
Level 2 students were tasked with creating a fully realised brand concept, including a logo and brand guidelines, before pitching their ideas to Blaze Signs’ Design Office Manager, Barry.
The Creative Careers Café is an exciting event which aims to help students learn more about their career options in and around Dover, with various art-based, practical workshops.
Student work is exhibited at our annual end of-year show, visited by the general public and industry guests.
The new Bench Street Arts Campus also has its own gallery space for your pieces throughout the year.
Your work could also appear in high-profile outlets such as Cene magazine and the Turner Contemporary, giving you the chance to reach a wider audience and gain professional exposure.
Level 3 students, Ruby and Evan, recently had their art selected to be displayed by the Royal Academy of Arts.
Our creative courses allow flexibility for learners to develop their individuality and confidence through hands-on learning, providing a comprehensive grounding in a range of creative and design disciplines.
Our students are taught by highly qualified tutors, who are professional artists that regularly participate in exhibitions.
Jacob Weeks, Head of Campus at the new Bench Street Arts Campus, is a talented and established artist and photographer. He is also the co-founder of photographic collective, ‘Void’.
His work was also part of this year’s Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Ascension Lorente Huguet, Lecturer, is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist, who specialises in Fine Art.
