Access to University: Humanities and Social Sciences

To test your knowledge and to ensure you’re ready for university study or a new career, assessments take place throughout the year.

You can expect a unique blend of essays, case studies, projects, presentations and more formal assessments, for you to showcase your new skills and abilities.

Former students have gone on to universities across the country, studying a range of degrees from Sociology to Psychology, to other fields such as English, History and Law.

Access to HE qualifications have also been used to kickstart careers in numerous roles found in Humanities and Social Science.

Trips to universities, both locally and further afield, are designed so that you explore a range of further study options first-hand, understand what student life looks like, and meet those studying your degree of interest.

In addition to trips, you’ll also be further prepared for your next steps by taking part in social action projects across the campus during Community Weeks. Not only do these boost your personal growth, but you’ll also give back and impact Dover for the better.

This course is only for students aged 19 or over.

You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan. This will fund your studies with us.

When you complete a degree at university, this Advanced Learner Loan will then be written off by Student Finance England, meaning you won’t need to pay this back.
