plumbing and heating, looking at how to deal with leaking pipes, water systems
and drainage.
Throughout the course, you’ll study a range of industry-relevant topics,
including:
- Health and safety at work – understanding safe working
practices and regulations essential to the plumbing industry
- Common plumbing processes – learning standard techniques
used in domestic plumbing
- Cold and domestic hot water systems – understanding
installation, maintenance and fault-finding
- Drainage systems – exploring how waste and drainage
systems operate
- Central heating systems – gaining knowledge of heating
components and system operation
- Environmental awareness – understanding sustainability
and efficient water and energy use
These units provide a strong technical foundation and prepare you for the
next stage of training or employment.
