Results Day Success for Level 3

15 August 2024
We caught up with some of our students to congratulate them on their success and find out what’s next for them!

On Thursday 15 August, learners from EKC Dover College collected their Level 3 results. We caught up with some of our students to congratulate them on their success and find out what’s next for them!

William Tubby, T Level Digital Support Services

William received a Distinction.

“My T Level work experience has helped me massively by developing my personal skills even further, and my placement employer has now even offered me a job.

“After achieving Distinction in my course, I am going to progress into an Open University course in Cyber Security. I chose the Open University so I can continue working with Fresh Start in Education. In the future, I want to do my Master’s Degree and then a PhD in Cyber Security.”

Kieran Hughes – T Level Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing

Kieran received a grade B in his first year.

“I am continuing into the second year and hope to achieve a Merit so I can progress into a cadetship in Marine Engineering. After enjoying my work experience as a Marine Engineer and with a dream to travel the world I am really excited for my future.

My advice to anyone interested in Engineering is that you should go for it, as it has helped me massively with my career and opened my eyes to what is out there. It has turned something I was interested in into an absolute passion of mine.”

Luke Pope and Emily Sheppard – T Level Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing

Luke received a merit.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my work experience working with Barretts Honda. It allowed me to practice what I have learnt at college in a real world setting and has helped me with my college course. For anyone looking to take this Automotive course, make sure you try really hard on your work experience as it does help you massively, not only with your course, but with your interpersonal skills.”

Emily received a pass

“As I have completed my course I am looking to be employed as an automotive technician so I get to do a bit of everything.  When you are on this course, I would suggest sorting out your work placements as quickly as possible, as once you are in a placement it really helps you put into practice what you’re learning.”

Riley Harradine – T Level Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing

Riley received a pass

“Doing this course has been great for me. I have been lucky enough to go to the Jaguar and Land Rover garage as part of my first work experience and then got the opportunity to go to DP Vehicles which work on high-end vehicles. It was scary working on such expensive and amazing cars, but it was an incredible and exciting experience. In the future, I am hoping to run my own garage and do a MOT course.”

Principal Eleanor Sherratt

“All those receiving results today at EKC Dover College should be really proud of their achievements, these results are a fantastic success for both the students as well as all the staff that have been involved in getting the students prepared and ready for their exams and assessments over the past 2 years. We wish all the students the best with their next steps, whether that be into employment, university or an apprenticeship and are excited to see them taking on their next chapter.”

We would like to congratulate all our students on their fantastic achievements and wish them every success for the future.
