This year’s Student Celebration Day brought a taste of the Wild West to campus, giving learners the chance to take a well-deserved break from their studies.
Students got stuck-in to the cowboy-themed afternoon, taking part in a range of fun activities, from garden games and photo opportunities with themed props, to testing their skills on the ever-popular rodeo bull inflatable.
There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, with music from DJ Travis from The Art Club, and crowd favourite, Summer Faces, who provided some stunning face paints and glitter tattoos.
No celebration would be complete without food, with staff members, Summer and Christina, serving up a treat at the BBQ. Students and staff tucked into freshly grilled burgers and hotdogs before enjoying free ice poles and refreshing mocktails.
Student Experience Officer, Summer Smith, brought the event to life with the help of the Students’ Union. She commented: “Student Celebration Day is a firm favourite of mine!
“We all come together and celebrate our students’ achievements. This year, our Students’ Union chose a rodeo-themed party and we ran with it. Well done to our students for their hard work – I hope they all enjoyed today.”
The lively event was a fantastic way to mark the end of another successful academic year, giving students the opportunity to celebrate their achievements, make memories with friends, and enjoy some well-earned fun together.
A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in organising the day and helping make it such a memorable send-off for any students leaving us this year.
