Our mission is to play a leading role for East Kent in developing the economic and social prosperity of the diverse communities we serve.
Eleanor Sherratt
Eleanor joined the Further Education sector in 2006, where she worked initially in Additional Learning Support, before starting later that year in a teaching role.
Eleanor has taught students from Entry level to Level 3 and is particularly passionate about creating the right opportunities for students whatever level they are working at.
She has gained experience through various roles from Course Leader, Teaching and Learning Facilitator, Head of Department and her current role as Deputy Principal.
Being a local Dover district resident, Eleanor is committed to EKC Dover College being an integral part of the local area, making sure that those transferring from school are prepared for the next steps in their life, but equally to welcome those students who are returning to education, either as a change of career or to improve their qualifications.
Her role as Head of Access to Higher Education, allowed her to truly make a difference in changing the career paths of many students. Eleanor’s focus is on providing students with as many opportunities and experiences to raise their ambitions.
Eleanor spends her spare time with her family, supporting all of her four children in the various sports that they take part in at the weekend. Her passion for rugby has seen her support a local rugby club to develop their youth section into a thriving club for young people. She also enjoys walking in the local area with her dog.
