Certificate in Vocational Studies

This course is your first step into college education, helping you get a job or start a traineeship. As part of this course, you’ll get extra help with your English and maths, making you more ready for work and allowing you to move on to a Level 2 course if you choose to.

To join this programme, you will need to show that you can reach Level 1 in English and maths by the end of the course. This will be checked through an assessment during your interview.

You will be assessed during the course by building your own portfolio, showcasing the work you have done.

When you have completed the course, you can progress into further education,
apprenticeships, or entry-level roles in your chosen industry.

During your studies, you can take part in a variety of internal and external events and trips designed to improve your knowledge and for you to experience new opportunities.

We also benefit our community by taking part in social action projects which help with development and skill progression, as well as making a difference locally.
