Results Day Success for T Level students

27 October 2023
Thursday 17th August marked the first results day for T Levels, a new two-year Level 3 qualification.

Thursday 17th August marked the first results day for these two-year Level 3 qualifications.

T Levels are a new qualification designed with employers, aimed at helping students get into industry through dedicated work placement.

We caught up with some of our T Level students as they collected their results and asked them about what the future holds.

Thomas, Digital Support

Thomas was ecstatic he had passed in the Digital Support T Level, which gives students the skills they need for a range of careers in technology. This achievement allows him to start applying for jobs in the industry. “If I didn’t have the support of the Computing team here at EKC Dover College, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

Ryan, Digital Support

Ryan is in his first year of his T Level and was delighted to learn that he has passed, meaning he can progress on to the second year of the course. He is looking forward to doing more dedicated work experience and is exploring different elements of the course to decide what he would like to specialise in.

Charles, Digital Support

Receiving a Merit for his hard work during the course, Charles can now use his experience to explore a range of careers. He was delighted to receive his grade, speaking highly of his tutors and how they have helped him over the last two years.

He said: “I’d like to thank our Lecturer Jack, who really helped us believe in ourselves and get these grades.”

As well as an 80 percent pass rate in our Digital Support T Level, within these areas the Group has also seen outstanding results, with a 100 per cent pass rate for Adult Nursing and Early Years at EKC Canterbury College and a 100 per cent pass rate in Carpentry at EKC Folkestone College.

Chief Executive Officer at EKC Group, Graham Razey, said: “It’s absolutely wonderful to see our students collecting their results today and I’m incredibly proud of each and every one of them. This year is particularly special, as we’re witnessing the first cohort of T Level learners collecting their results and I couldn’t be more pleased with how they’ve all done.

As an Outstanding Ofsted provider, East Kent Colleges Group is committed to providing students with a top-tier technical education, enhancing their career prospects and contributing to the growth of the industries they are preparing to enter.
