T Level and Level 3 Results Day triumph at EKC Dover College

14 August 2025
Celebrating T Level and Level 3 Results Day success at EKC Dover College.

An air of nervous excitement filled the College today, as students came to collect their long-awaited T Level and Level 3 results.

Results Day is a proud moment for the College, as we celebrate the achievements of our students completing T Level programmes and other Level 3 qualifications.

For many learners, they are already looking forward to their future and are now taking their next step into a world they’ve planned for throughout their College journey.

We caught up with some of our students to congratulate them on their success and to find out where they are heading next.

Bowie Barker, studying T Level Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control, received a Merit. He now has his sights set on an Apprenticeship.

Bowie shared his excitement, stating: “Engineering is a wide area, so I wanted to get into the industry and start a career. I wasn’t very knowledgeable about computers but thanks to College I’ve built my skills.

“All of my Lecturers have been supportive and have helped me grow. I could always count on them. We were so well prepared ahead of the exam too.

“I’m now taking a year out to travel, and then I’m looking into Marine Engineering Apprenticeships, ideally based in Southampton!”

Bowie’s advice to new students is: “Remember to revise during your first year as it will help so much with the second year.”

Among those celebrating was Nicola Terry, who has just completed Level 3 Art and Design with a Merit. She’s now heading to the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Farnham to study BA Animation.

They expressed their joy and excitement about their College experience, saying:

“I studied Art because for me it was the right direction to go in. I’ve always been passionate about doing art, making art, anything about art really!

“College has given me really good opportunities. By being here, my work ended up being in the Turner Contemporary and I’ve managed to get my art into Cene magazine

“I’ve expanded myself, because before I thought that I was just going to do software-based art, but now I’ve done much more than that. I’ve done screen printing, collaging, learnt how to work digitally and studied so much more than just drawing.”

They also commented: “My advice for those studying Art would be to definitely go to EKC Dover College. It’s a great community, full of great people and it’s one of the best places you can go.”

It was also a great day for second year students on the T Level in Digital Support Services, as 100% of them passed the course.

Stan Ziga, who was one of those that received a Pass, is set to continue his journey in the Computing industry, fuelled by the success of his T Level work experience.

He told us: “After College, I’m now looking towards an office-based Computing job. For my work experience, I was based at Pitman Training and spent 315 hours there overall.

“In my work experience, I would sort out technical problems, focus on
people who needed help with their computers and set up monitors. I also used their productivity suite to book people into appointments on the website.

“I even touched upon bookkeeping as well in my work placement which was really interesting.”

He also told us about what helped him get into Computing, saying: “”It was a teacher at my secondary that encouraged me to pursue that further and that was the final piece of the puzzle, in a sense, of what I wanted to do.

“College has helped me so much. When I first started, I wasn’t 100% sure if it was for me because of my lack of experience academically but everyone was so supportive and I feel really happy with my achievements.

“My advice to anyone looking into studying a T Level or Computing would be to don’t give up halfway through. If it seems difficult, carry on as it’s so worth it in the end.”

T Level Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control learner, Leon Hornsey, has already secured a position as an Engineering Apprentice with UTS.

Reflecting on their time at college, Leon noted: “I didn’t know anything about Engineering before I came to College, but I’ve got to work on lots of different machines and gain the experience I need for my apprenticeship.

“I originally got into Engineering because my Dad is an Engineer and I wanted to follow in his footsteps.”

Principal of EKC Dover College, Eleanor Sherratt, commented: “We are incredibly proud of all our students receiving Level 3 and T Level results today at EKC Dover College.

“Our T Level students receiving results have achieved some outstanding results and will allow them to progress into the world of work, higher apprenticeships or university.

“It’s always an amazing day hearing about the students next steps, with so many of them already on their way to exciting future destinations.”

We would like to congratulate all our students on their fantastic achievements and wish them every success for the future.
