“We get taken on trips to places like the Turner Contemporary, so we can see what other artists have produced to help us to feel inspired.
“This has helped me express my feelings and interests well when it comes to my own artwork.
“The course is so good that I travel from Sheppey every day to learn here.”

“College has given me really good opportunities. By being here, my work ended up being in the Turner Contemporary and I’ve managed to get my art into Cene magazine.
“I’ve done screen printing, collaging, learnt how to work digitally and studied so much more than just drawing.
“My advice for those studying Art would be to definitely go to EKC Dover College. It’s a great community, full of great people and it’s one of the best places you can go.”

“I think this course is great, even if you’re a beginner at art.
“Everyone supports each other and we work together to share what we know.
“For example, my friend Lucy was amazing with Illustrator and Photoshop, and she taught me how to use them properly. In return, I helped her with shading techniques in drawing.
“It’s really collaborative. Even if you feel like you’re not very good at art, you’ll be surrounded by and meet people with different strengths.”
