Students have access to industry standard machines, equipped with the software and programmes needed to successfully manage IT services and provide IT support.
You will also have the opportunity to develop practical skills in computer maintenance and repair using our machines and equipment.
All students on a Computing and Digital course will complete three Cisco Network Academy learning courses in software and hardware
Modules include Digital Awareness, Networking, Operating Systems, AI, and more.
Our courses are designed and taught by lecturers who have previously worked within the industry, ensuring you gain the skills needed to develop in the world of digital technology.

Dedicated work experience will be supported by our Industry Liaison Officer, who will find the opportunities that are right for you.
You will also gain experience through in-house workshops and guest speakers with professional industry experience.
Students take part in regular social action projects that are relevant to the computing industry.
Events include partnering with external charities and using the skill learned in the classroom to benefit the community.
A T Level is a two-year qualification that focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, Higher Education or Apprenticeships.

Computing students explored the history of WWII codebreaking, used an actual Enigma machine, and even coded the Snake game on vintage BBC Acorn computers.
During this trip, they learnt about the role of Bletchley Park in both the WWII codebreaking efforts as well as it being considered the birthplace of the modern programmable computer that we know today.
Our Computing students took on an important project during Community Week, conducting an air quality survey both on campus and around Dover. Using tech like Raspberry Pi devices, they gathered important data about pollution levels.
Computing students had the chance to learn from a backend software engineer who spent the day delivering insightful sessions on Genome coding, using Sherlock and Github.
