Our mission is to play a leading role for East Kent in developing the economic and social prosperity of the diverse communities we serve.
Nicola Faulkner

Nicola Faulkner is the Deputy Principal of EKC Dover College.
Nicola joined Further Education in 2014 to explore career opportunities having previously worked at a Dover Primary school which she joined in 2003.
She joined Canterbury College as a Trainer Demonstrator within the English Department and quickly progressed to a lecturer role, became a GCSE English Programme Director and then the Head of Department.
These roles supported her further progression to Deputy Principal at EKC Dover College in August 2024. She has a passion and commitment to lifelong learning, undertaking both a BA in Childhood Development and MA in Education as well as an National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership which have all given her a thorough insight into the ever-changing educational landscape and the shifting needs of learners.
Nicola was born, educated and worked in Dover before starting her career in education and therefore understands the local community she now serves. She strives to provide the very best experiences and opportunities for students no matter their age or level.
She enjoys the simple pleasures nature can provide, and so gardening is her go-to pastime. Nicola loves to get creative and enjoys writing, currently working on two books which she hopes to publish in the future, and she will experiment with anything arty – lino-printing is the latest skill being mastered.
